Firefighters are battling a house fire late Sunday in Centreville, Va., after multiple callers reported hearing a loud explosion and flames engulfing the home.

Firefighters and utility crews say they're looking into an active gas leak after a house exploded Sunday night, injuring at least two people and displacing dozens of families in Centreville, Virginia.

A home explosion in Centerville, Virginia, caused by a leaking Gas pipeline was the latest in a series of similar incidents in our area.

The leak came from one of the three transmission lines running underground through the neighborhood. Crews are still working to pinpoint the source.
